Following the trail of Kishkindha Kaandam and Kerala Crime Files S2,this film excels in it’s craft of storytelling and takes cue from the latter.
What would happen if the creators of Kishkindha Kaandam,one of the most critically acclaimed mystery thrillers of Malayalam Cinema is pitched toghether?That is eko`.This is the story of a dog breeder who had gone into hiding and the search for that man by many parties.The story drags you into the world.This is where I should mention the world building of this film,it is beyond words.
By performances,Sandeep Pradeep,Saurabh Sachdeva,Vineeth,Binu Pappan and others have done their part.Especially Sandeep in a cliche` breaking and confusing role.Overall,I felt this was a reunion of oldsters not in a disrespectful way rather it felt perfect.
Technically,this film is different from Kishkinda bit hasn’t undergone a heart transplant I presume.Bahul Ramesh deserves a raise,and not to exclude Dinjith Ayyathan.
Let me remind you that this film is not a high stakes thriller,it builds it’s world of mystery and then lets you indulge it.
